EMBASSY OF GHANA IN BERLIN STARTS ISSUING 10-YEAR VALIDITY PASSPORT
In line with the decision of the Government Ghana to extend the validity of ordinary passport booklets issued to qualified applicants from five to ten years, the Embassy of Ghana in Berlin has started issuing the 10-year validity passports.
62nd Independence Day Celebration of Ghana in Berlin
The Ghana Embassy in Berlin held a reception at the scenic Spindler & Klatt events centre on Saturday, 9th March, 2019, to mark the 62nd anniversary of Ghana`s Independence.
Over the years, the annual event was organized mainly for members of the Diplomatic Corps with little participation of Ghanaian residents. However, on this occasion, Her Excellency Mrs. Gina A. Blay hosted a cross-section of Ghanaians living in Germany to participate in the event. The Deputy Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Hon. Dr Ziblim Barri Iddi, was the special guest-of-honour. Ghanaians across Germany travelled to attend the event in Berlin and expressed their excitement.
AMB. GINA BLAY ATTENDS THE SECOND ROUND OF GHANA-LATVIA POLITICAL CONSULTATIONS IN RIGA, LATVIA
On 6th February, 2019, H. E. Gina Blay, Ambassador of Ghana with concurrent accreditation to Latvia, joined a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Ghana to participate in the second edition of political consultations between Ghana and Latvia; hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia. The Ghanaian delegation was led by the Chief Director of MFA of Ghana, H.E. Albert F. Yankey, and the Latvian delegation-Ambassador, Head of the Bilateral Relations Directorate, Ilgvars Kļava.
AMB. GINA BLAY PARTICIPATES IN THE COMMEMORATION OF THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE PROCLAMATION OF THE REPUBLIC OF LATVIA
On 18th November, 2018, the Government and people of Latvia held various activities to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic of Latvia, in the national capital, Riga. Thousands of people, including ordinary Latvians, Government officials and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Latvia, participated in the activities marking the occasion. At the invitation of the Latvian government, Amb. Gina Blay participated in the event. She was accompanied by Ms. Miriam Aba Arhin, First Secretary/Political and Diaspora Affairs.
HER EXCELLENCY AMBASSADOR GINA BLAY MAKES AN OFFICIAL TRIP TO FRANKFURT
Amb. Gina Blay embarked on her maiden official trip to the city of Frankfurt in Germany from 9th to 11th November, 2018. As part of the visit, Amb Blay held meetings with the Managing Director of International Development of the Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Jürgen Ratzinger, the President of the African German Academic Network, Alhaji Allie Bangura, as well as members of the Ghanaian Community in Frankfurt and its environs.
